Steal his stuff so he knows how it feels?
(I'm not a parent, just into retribution)
My oldest son who is almost 7, seems to be going through this thing of stealing money lately and lying about where he's got it from. he's stolen money from me 3 times, which he really couldn't lie about. he's went as far as stealing from a shop too. And this morning I found money in his pocket which he finally admitted to taking from a kid in his class.
I'm unsure how to deal with this and put a stop to it. I've tried a few things, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any advice would be appreciated![]()

If I'd have done that when I was wee I'd have been battered and grounded for a fortnight.

Humiliation and Guilt (if possible) is what happened to me.
My Mum, being an ex teacher and psychology graduate, was the master of 'I'm not angry, I'm just dissappointed'.
Except for that she still sounded raging, and screamed at me.

Do you do all that supernanny "naughty spot" then apology rubbish? Seems to work a treat with my nephews, although granted, they're three.
Cause and effect.
Get him off the smack first and then he wont need to steal.

Have you done that thing where you leave a lighter lit until the metal bit is red hot then jam it into his neck?
