| Re: Nursery fees Its a vicious circle. Like I have said numerous times before, I cant afford the childcare when im on benefits to get the time to look for work, and by the time I get a job I would need to apply to more nurseries and go on more waiting lists, and how does that work when im supposed to be working??

I had no idea about this, the nursery manager just informed me, so for my son to goto nursery 3 days a week my fees will add upto over £80... WTF!! | Sorry, I'm a bit confused - £2 per hour...how do you manage to rack up 40hrs over 3days to come to the £80? :s
Have you checked what they'll be considering 'low income'? If you feel like you couldn't afford it then surely you'd be entitled to the discounts mentioned.
ps. I thought council-run nursery schools were free for everyone

| Re: Nursery fees I was only allocated two days at the nursery. I already have my son in a private nursery one day a week which I have to pay for as well. I am going to ask all these questions; would I be entitled to low income fees etc, tomorow.

It's a shame though, where I used to live he had like a year of nursery and keeps asking when he can go back. |

| Re: Nursery fees not long back from the nursery. Apparently I do come under the 'low income' bracket, so three days they informed me he is now in 3 days) plus lunch fees comes to a grand total of £11 a week! now thats quite a difference in price. There is one condition. I must get a job within 6 weeks or they will give his spot to someone else. now theres motivation.
