This has happened to me a few times, with spiders walking across the floor over books, study notes, stuff like that, and even once walking between the bedroom wall and a box under the bed.
I don't keep them. I hunt them down (whilst shaking uncontrollably and hyperventilating), destroy them, then spend the next few nights sleeping in the living room.
