I like that one a lot! And I'm usually not too keen at all on full length studio portraits.

That's one of the standard Glasgow Student Photographer shots at the SECC (t'other being "my first black & white print" of the Finnieston Crane).

Still, not that easy to get it to work and I always tried it from the top looking down, so at least now I know where I was going wrong!

This pic was taken after an afternoon lazing about in the hot sun, trousers rolled past the knees, splashing through wee beach burns and skimming stones while getting a touch of sun burn.

The North Sea Mist is a fickle bitch sometimes.

Nice, you got some models for your first studio attempt then?

Did you shoot RAW? Could maybe fix the blow out on his left arm if you go and layer mask in another exposure to certain parts.

Yeah I managed to get a mate to help me out, I'll fix the arm thing later I'm too tired to do anything the now, got another 50 photos to sort through aswell!

Can't remember the exact set up, but there were 2 softboxes on the right, one medium sized to the very right of the photo, and the other was a small one fired from above pointing down. One barndoor set up pointing at the backdrop and MAYBE another small softbox from the far left. (I used a few different set-ups so I'm not 100% on the last 2)

Put it through photoshop too, removed some spots and a small cut (he got into a drunken fight with a tree the night before) Messed about with the levels and added a bit of vignetting.

Aye there was supposed to be someone there doing make-up but I dunno what happened there...

Not shot anything in aaages due to the nightmare that is trying to graduate from university.

I took this a while ago from a foot bridge over the Clydeside express.

I used a Pentax ME Super and a 28mm lens

But i think this is a photo of a photo...and so it's not very sharp
