| Re: Photo-A-Day III Lamp post innit.
Apparently excluded from the lamp post challenge because it's an old photo even though I never even looked at it/touched it till yesterday after being inspired by that thread.

| Re: Photo-A-Day III Oh, its pretty. I didnt know how to make my lamppost not glare, because it was only the 6th picture Ive taken in my life and Ryan refused to help me.
Scared of the competition, obviously.

| Re: Photo-A-Day III It could do with a tiny bit of straightening and the noise in the lower half is a bit annoying, but otherwise it's a rather good picture. That blip in the middle of the railings is distracting though - what was it?

Only thing the pic is lacking is the "Fremlin Touch" - the way he always gets things so feckin sharp and perfect depth of field, that'd never be an easy task even with magic Nikon lenses though! Quote:

Silent Hill stair is good, the flair is just enough for atmosphere rather than distraction. Composition could't be beat. |

Good choice of black & white for that one by the looks of it although I was a bit lost at first without an eye or face but now I see they're washing behind their ear :cute: Quote:

I'd maybe increase the contrast on both a little but really people should warn me away from that sort of thing most of the time... Quote:

And also sharpened properly rather than my quick resize over MSN for you, oops....
Easy fixes though, still my favourite tower bridge pic from the day! |

| Re: Photo-A-Day III Another 12mm shot from the same day as the one I posted last week, this time St. Jude's Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland - another lamp post removed from frame but the sole purpose of finishing this one was to prove (to myself) that I don't have to muck around with the sky in photos...
EOS 5D, 12mm on 12-24mm
1/80 @ f/8.0 ISO 100
While researching the location I found that the Wee Wee Frees church website isn't avilable on Sundays... |

| I definitely rate this one over the last. Composition is much less awkward (infact it's very interesting), and the non-mucked about with sky = |

I couldn't tell you what the blobby light is down there though. I decided it wasn't ugly enough to mess about with and have learned to live with it along with the squint
(also, Potatojunkie = FAIL at spotting missing building bits ) |
