World Film Photo Day 20th March 2008

It seems the film users out there want us to know they are still about.

The basic rundown is you take a load of photos on the 20th with a film camera, get them developed and share them with the world.

Anyone else on AN up for this? Shoot off a film on the 20th and post your best results from said film on this thread/another thread on here?

I'm trying to dig out a couple of disposables to give to the kids but I'll be buggered if I can find my own film camera

Well I've got a couple of disposable cameras on the way over from Germany, I think, for use on the day. A blog I found a few weeks ago is hosting a blog 'carnival' for the event to encourage folk to take part so it adds a little something to the day I think.

Found some B&W film in the house so I might see how that comes out seeing as I've never intentionally went out to shoot B&W before.

I'll do this, my grandfather didn't give me his old cameras for nothing.

He gave them to me because I was messing about in a darkroom every Wednesday, teaching a friend hand-clapping games in pitch darkness. Though ol' Gumpy was unaware of such specifics.

But yes, I love film photography despite being inconsistent in results, so count me in.

I'm up for this. I don't use my poor wee SLR nearly enough. Might be black and white for me because i think i've still got a shitload of the film kicking around...

If I was going to be anywhere interesting on the 20th I would definately. I might stick an old roll if film in the petri and take some shots of the office anyway though.

Bump...

This is tomorrow...i'm still planning on shooting a film or two. Unfortunately i can't be where i hoped i'd be for this day but i'm still gonna try and make it out. Weather looks as if it might take a turn tomorrow that's the only thing. Fingers crossed.

I'm no doubt going to end up with a load of shite as i often seem to when i 'force' myself to shoot :s

you and me both, the last roll of film i took mainly consisted of shots of interesting beam structures in the Burrell Collection in pollok park.
, and photos of my living room. beuw neuw.

Don't think Em or I are going to do this. Both our 35mm cams are out of battery and it costs £6 to replace the hearing-aid type batteries that are in my 25 year old Olympus effort. Just don't have the cash to spare at the mo

Might do some photo-shoppery to make up for it though.
