Punk As Folk @ Darroch 04/02/06
Well it's official. Punk As Folk, the SPG side project, have played more gigs than SPG already.

We are playing The Darroch this Friday coming. No idea who the other bands are but should be one punk band and one "heavy" band. Mayhaps Donphobia if they are all fit and ready.

If you enjoyed the last gig you'll love this one as me and Rikki will actually be.. prepared y'know? I might even be sober... will I fuck Me + folk rock = Newcastle Brown.

Punk As Folk will be supporting Greenock's finest Pop-Punk export: yaG Backwards. Shite name. Great band and the four nicest guy's you'll ever meet. Even if Puggs can't be arsed joining us with the pipes for a song. Wee bastard that he is.

Anyways it'll be basically be the same set as last Friday but as we were rushed for that we mostly went for songs we know but didn't really work. So we're cutting out "Brat" by Green Day and we wont bother fannying about with any Unseen/Morton songs either. We are gonna learn at least 2 more songs for it however including a famous modern folk classic, another traditional folk song, one more punk song and another Pogues song. Aint gonna give anymore away as we like to surprise you

Once again we're trying to bring folk music to a few people who might not have heard it before as well as throwing in covers you can all enjoy from a new perspective. Most of all we want you all to enjoy yourself, sing along and feel involved so don't feel afraid to rush the stage if you suddenly feel the urge to sing a verse/chorus. Anything that let's me drink more is fine by me!
