| New Usernames Now we've made the change from qmunity (as an entity on it's own on the interweb) to altnation, it's easy to see peoples usernames have changed.
If you used the old qmunity, what were your old usernames?
To start:
I was "jonjon" on qmunity. I have registered that name on this site too, but will be using both that name and my actual name. |

| Re: New Usernames Naw, you can use more than one name, so long as you don't use any for naughty purposes.
Generally it's less confusing if you stick to one, though, save for comedy sockpuppets |

| Re: New Usernames Sure.
Basically, I've had the username "jonjon" before the QM decided to move it's forum here, although I don't think I ever posted. The QM's exec decided it'll be a good idea to have an "official" username for board members when using this forum - to make ourselves more visible to our members who visit here, rather than a dillusion of grandeur.
So that's why, really. This account is registered with my QMU e-mail address, so can keep QM stuff and non-QM stuff sorta seperate.
I hope that makes some sense. |

However, QMUnity is migrating from an existing forum, but the accounts are not being migrated. Jon is wanting to compare usernames between the two forums.
I used to be HammerIntoAnvil on Qmunity, then I turned into Seumas S. |

| Re: New Usernames Of course, I should clarify:
I don't know what the position with the QMU forum is, given it's a hosted forum and may have its own rules—the problem with that is that it gets extraordinarily complex as there's nothing stopping users who've come here for reasons other than QMU (such as me, for example) posting in the QMU forum.
As a rule, though, altnation as a whole doesn't have an official objection to multiple accounts. Quote:

Seems like a lot of effort (we—as in, the moderation team—have debated doing similar, though our ‘official’ is a lot less than your ‘official’, really), but it makes sense

| Re: New Usernames God, just have one. It makes life so much less complicated. I remember back in 2002 when i just started my old band Meeklejon. I used to post as garyfoo182 (that was me up until Forbes changed my username for me) and also as Meeklejon-Suck to bash my band.
Why? I dunno, cause i was a loser then (I still am btw).
Sooooo confusing. My mate Peter McTaggart is the worst for it on these boards.
Pete the Gyro, Pete .... so many names
