| Re: Sega Vs Nintendo Debate It's all about the nostalgia. It's pretty safe to assume that the people who will be at this debate will be (at least) the tail end of the snes/mega drive generation, and the debate, in it's pettier, more personal moments will probably focus on the intense rivalry between these consoles.
I was a SNES kid myself.
Then Sony came along with the PlayStation... ahh.
Did SEGA create the Micro Machines games? Did they appear on SEGA or SNES first? |

| Re: Sega Vs Nintendo Debate Oh well. Even on that one then.
The commercial success of either console is indeed not really a debatable issue. Personal preference, they are both great consoles, I just happened to get a SNES for christmas one year |

PC = people who have a bit more money and want to have cutting edge graphics and gameplay. They are also and far more versatile platform and more multi-player orientated.
Console = mostly owed by more casual gamers who can't afford a full PC gaming rig. Console focus far more on single player gameplay with multi-player usually being a bolt-on or focused on the "party" game aspect. Games tend to be simpler and focus on replyability.
Both are really good at what they do. There is no point in even trying to debate which is best, it's like saying nails are better than screws. |

| Re: Sega Vs Nintendo Debate Surely that's changing? Xbox Live has opened the console world up to a lot more online play, which presumably Sony Network will continue to do when it eventually launches.
Nearly all the focus on 360 games these days seems to be about the MMO aspects of them. Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War to name but two examples.
I was being flippant anyway. PC and Console both have a place in my home. I hate playing platformers and racing games on my PC and I'm pretty sure I'd hate playing Oblivion or WoW without a full Qwerty keyboard. |

| Re: Sega Vs Nintendo Debate Bollocks. With a 360, PSP, PS2, GBA SP & GB Pocket, I’m not a gamer? Because I don’t want a Windows machine for MMORPGs? I’ve been a gamer since the days of faux-wood veneered Atari consoles with dial controllers for playing Pong. And all this were fields. |

Actually, screws will always wipe the floor with nails. |
