| bad show Hello,
I am writing to you concerning an incident that occurred tonight.. I was removed from your premises by a bouncer. Now, I am always a supporter of what bouncers do and understand they have a difficult job.
I admit that I was in the wrong in some sense. I played a silly drinking game in Jim’s bar, and after which I felt guilty and went to the toilet to put my finger down my throught as I felt I had gone to far. I know I had went to far by partaking in the game but felt that I wanted to rectify the issue and went to the toilet to make myself sick, so that I could then enjoy the rest of a none alcoholic night.
I was then escorted of the premises for being sick. I advise the bouncer that I had made myself sick as I had not wanted to get to drunk tonight after playing a silly drinking game. He responded by telling me that he could see I was not drunk, but as I had been sick I had to leave. I challenged him by telling him the truth, as to which he told me that if I hadn’t had made my self sick I could have stayed, as again he could see I was not intoxicated.
I know the bouncer do a great job in the GMU, but felt as if this puts a negative message out, as I asked him if I had not made myself sick would I have stayed and he relied yes.
So I was trying to be sensible and got flung out, but if I had been irresponsible, and
kept drinking and not made myself sick I could have stayed in.
I think this is the wrong signal to be sending young people and feel let down by the QMU who I have always respected.
My night was cut short by being sensible, but if I had been irresponsible I could have stayed in. Is this really the message you want to be sending out.
Thanks for your time
PJ
p.s. I am dyslexic so please ignor the spelling |

| Re: bad show Firstly dude, address your complaints to President@QMU.org.uk. Gary is a nice guy and loves getting your emails.
Secondly, you just admitted that you went to the toilet to make yourself sick. Problem right there. If you felt sick then you should have stopped drinking, sipped some water or gone home. That would have been responsible.
Making yourself spew is sheer idiocy. Your night was cut short by your own lack of common sense.

| Re: bad show Are you a QM member? I could give various advice here on what you could have done differently if you are... but I am reticent to do so on an open forum - the bouncers might not be best pleased...

| Re: bad show Ye it was totaly my fault for going down the tacktacle spew route, plus it was a waste of good alcohol. And the worst part was I made myself sick so that I could stay sober so that I could write my essay today, and I've jsut sat and vegged infront of the TV all day anyway. Should have just got drunk..ha
I just felt silly for getting flung out while still sober, and felt that I needed to vent my frustration some where... silly I know.
But thanks for your comments anyway much appreciated. I'm away to start my essay.. better late than never. |

| Re: bad show Understandable to be annoyed but it's not really acceptable to throw up in a pub or club; you can't really do so and expect to stay.
By all means write to or email Gary, but I'm fairly sure he'll just say "put it down to experience and take it easy next time."
Welcome to AltNation by the way! There's a lot here besides the QM section, take a look around

You can't be sick in a pub or club and expect to stay on the premises. |

. | Coming back and apoligising = good and responsible
I know that the QM's had worse complaints then that though. I've seen people theatening to write drunken letters to the President, threatening to have him fired and claiming that they know him personally which entitles them to be arse holes. There's a good few folks on here that have even better stories then that. |

| Re: bad show A friend of mine got asked to leave because a bouncer thought she had been throwing up in the toilets, turns out it was the girl in the cubicle next to her. luckily it was the end of the night, my mate was reletively sober and had the sense not to argue- that always makes it ten time worse!
also the QM bouncers are alot nicer that some of the bouncers i have met in my time, but as they say- a rule is a rule! |
