| Re: Mornington Crescent The tube I got on at Islington turned out to be a Transformer shortly after leaving the station, and proceeded to change into a 30ft tall city wrecking machine, at which point it was attacked by a london bus and an iPod. I quickly escaped, chatted up Megan Fox and then changed at Bakerloo. My travel insurance thankfully included "destruction of transport" cover and exempts me from movement penalties for the next 10 days. |

| Re: Mornington Crescent Clear the decks, game on.
Fumbling’s rules (third edition). That means backtracks are verboten, Community Chest comes up on every fifth rubber, and the shops are only open ’til noon on Thursdays.
I know it’ll make my second move a right bugger, but I’m starting at Angel.
Who’s in?

| Re: Mornington Crescent I'm sitting this one out, I'll get too annoyed. Fumbling's (2nd ed.) was perfect and should never have been tampered with.

| Re: Mornington Crescent Was it the addition of the Northern Line extension that ruined it for you? Or the admittedly over-complex allowances Fumbling made for people wanting to escape knid with backpacks intact?

| Re: Mornington Crescent They destroyed chromatic interchanges just when I'd gotten really good at them. These days I still don't know what I'm doing with a purple token.

| Re: Mornington Crescent Fair enough, I admit the addition of tie-dye to the mix was taking things a smidge too far.

Can't figure out what I did wrong.

| Re: Mornington Crescent I shall start at Brixton and move at a jaunty angle with a two-step side-step to Green Park thus enabling me to take advantage of the 1965 Stovold rule revision as regards immunity to nib.
If you have green or blue counters you lose five points. (Sorry) |

I was going to try for Camden Town right away, but passing through Kings Cross this early in the game would be suicide, especially without the protection of knowing at least two other players were in knid.
I think I’ll try Foxworth’s gambit and double-back to Tooting Bec. Should give me a bit of breathing room while you lot sort out your interchanges (and I consult Fumbling’s to see exactly what the hell happened with Les and his green stone).
Might have to consult Samantha if I can’t find the answer there. She’ll be fuming about having to get on top of such a hard one this early in the morning.

| Re: Mornington Crescent Whoa, that was a very vermicious maneuver for so early in the morning, Tony!
Well played!
I'm going to recombobulate at Tufnell Park since my last turn ended with a Tube Shunt out of the system and into Meteor Street - which clearly is out of play and therefore means I lose a life through discombobulation into streets with no rails.
So post-restart my move will be from Tufnell Park to Goodge Street via a biderectional snooze linkage.
I'm playing my Beggarshield card during the link. |
