| Nestlé - still killing babies apparently http://business.guardian.co.uk/story/0,,2079864,00.html
There's a fairly interesting article in The Guardian (G2) today about the actions of Nestlé (and other formula milk manufacturers) in developing countries thirty years after the original call for a boycott of all Nestlé products. The article does lean very heavily to Baby Milk Action's side of the story, but the actions of some healthcare workers and the companies concerned in Bangladesh really did surprise me.
To be quite honest, despite having read a quite a bit of literature on the subject, I often felt that the QMU's Nestlé boycott was a bit of a pain in the arse but this article has made me think again about the issue.
Still, Kit-Kat anyone? |

I'm sorry | Fortunately I don't like chocolate, so I get around that one quite easily... I am quite partial to the odd Fruit Pastille and my cat eats Go-Cat though... |

| Re: Nestlé - still killing babies apparently Still? I remember campaigning against this back in first year (15 years ago - jeez!) back when i was part of the "Global Guardians". Bless. Still avoid nestle products on the whole, probly because this has stuck in my mind all these years.

I bought a box today and they lasted all of five minutes.
They taste nicer and also come without the annoying individual wrappers that evil people insist on putting back in the box. |
