| Beer Garden Beer Garden at the QM - feasible?

| Re: Beer Garden Unfortunately the university own the land round about the QM. So there aint much we can do. And as far as roofs are concerned, they'll cost soooooooo much money to make suitable!

| Re: Beer Garden We have sort-of operated one in the past out the back of the Jim's Bar fire exit, although the "new" air con system takes up a large chunk of that space now.
The roof isn't really an option I think for several reasons. And it's not that nice an area out the back there. If we could only convince the uni to give us the former tennis courts, but there's allegedly rare beasts living there so it's protected, or something.

If memory serves, and it usually does, Beer Garden has been discussed in innumerable board meetings. You can ask to see the minutes as a member, I believe. |
