tonight at fopp byres road there will be a candlelit vigil in celebration of the good times we spent in fopp.

I think it's a good sign that despite the increased pressures on today's students from ill-advised government legislation & funding that there are still some who find the time to be politically active about the important things.

Going to a shop full of indie wankers is all part of the CD (sorry, i mean cassette and vinyl) buying experience.
The Fopp on Byres Road was my local CD shop when I was growing up so it's sad to see it going.

Sundays won't be the same without a stroll up Byres Road, popping into Fopp for some £5 dad-CDs then heading to the Botanic Gardens for a big happy orgy with some Belle and Sebastian fans and vegan takeaway.

A tiny little bit of sick just came up and hit the back of my throat.



P.S At least we've still got HMV
