If ye get hit it's yer own fault for being too near the board.
And none of yer "safety" darts pish with the electronic board or that. Proper darts and a double sided board: preferably with a "Yorkshire" board on the other side.

i'm well up for chess boards - i've been pushing the idea of chessy pop for a while.
darts, however, is banned under glasgow licensing laws.

Le sigh...
Not to piss on your parade... But any board games, regardless of thei similarity or otherwise to "real life" will have all the pieces lost or stolen within about two-three weeks max.
Plus getting Chess will only depress you when the cream of Glasgow Uni's intellectual crop wants to play "guess who" instead.
Get a pinball table and at least one of those "x amount of classic arcade games" table things to replace the old Jims Bar furniture.
