| Name change? RR's been very much on the backburner of late, but I've got an absolute peach of a record which will see the light of day early in the new year (details to follow).
Thing is, I'm thinking Raskol (from the character Raskolnikoff in 'Crime and Punishment') might actually be a crap name. I'm now toying with Sound As Language, inspired by the Hot Water Music song 'Sound For Language'.
I'm figuring that, having only released one record, I haven't exactly established myself massively, so if I'm going to make a change it's now or never.
So what do you think?

Seriously though, I prefer Sound As Language but I wouldn't chose either. |

| Re: Name change? My line of thinking runs, obviously I'm well into the political side of music, and SAL helps communicate the idea that music is more than music for the sake of it, that it has a message. Whereas Raskol is quite arbitrary.
But, I've been calling it that for nearly 2 years, so it's a tough call to make.

| Re: Name change? It referances Crime & Punishment. Can't get more Punk than that, unless you renamed it to Ashton Kutcher Records. |

| Re: Name change? Er, yeah, thanks Pete, I'm not really looking for suggestions though, more thoughts on whether changing the name is wise or not.

| Re: Name change? I'd keep it, 'Sound as Language' reminds me too much of the label 'Music for Nations' which I always thought was a bit pretentious. |
