| Mousetrap - With Marty The Mouse Fridays at the QM Union will always be especially close to my heart. Yes, there is the phenomenal Cheesy Pop with the legendary DJ Toast. However there is also the MASSIVE Mousetrap - The Friday Quiz Show/ Game Show/ Freak Show amalgamation of fun and hilarity.
As a former host of Mousetrap, its easy to see why I love it so. With £60 in Bar Vouchers to give away and more than a fair share of prizes, theres always something for everyone.
Highlights from the past year include, DJ Omar's last night, the crazy music mixes, Sonic 3 on the BIG SCREEN, Mortal Kombat II, Jurassic Park beer game and Mariah Carey Boob Job Fiasco Nightmare Game where poor Mariah had one too many boob jobs and needed serious surgery help from the audience.
With new Hosts Roo and Scott and a new DJ in the form of DJ Cosmos, this is set to be everyones pre-cheesy party. We even a new range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails on sale behind the bar too and generally there is also a giant mouse.

As in, I stole him from a kids' educational learning tool thing. Taught kids to count to five, and such. He appeared on a few years' worth of CP publicity, but got supplanted by a real live mouse on the mouse / deck / cheese publicity* for cheesy pop but lived on in other spheres of QM life in more recent times ie Mousetrap, Freshers' Addresses etc (written your speech yet Gary? )
*it's harder than you'd think to take photos of a mouse on a technics sniffing a block of Leerdammer !

That was a rather amusing photoshoot, the highlight of which clearly was Nibbler shitting on the Dane Bowers/Victoria Beckham record |
