Here is a small graphical representation of what people will see before I kill them. |

| The only problem with Halo 2 (and in my mind , its a bloody big problem) the powered down the shotgun. In the orginal Halo game, if you had a shotgun, you could charge straight into an enemy, pointing the gun at his head and blow it away, job done. In Halo 2, its like running round trying to blow up a tank with a bb gun. Now, when armed with my trusty sniper rifle, what is going to defend me in a close proximity battle? (appart from lobbing some good old fashioned plasma grenades and getting them to stick - and what the hell is the deal with the three shot burst restrictions on the battle rifle!?!) Ever wondered how you could create fireworks/signals? throw two plasma grenades a fair distance but at exactly at the same direction/angle. the first will blow up and send the other one flying upwards.
Is it me, or did it just get geekyer in here? |

You can still do a one shot kill with it if you're at close range but it's not designed to be used at any range over a few feet.
The battle rifle iss designed to be a long range weapon hence why it has a scope and burst mode. You use it to pump round into people over open field before closing to engage with CQB weapons. The full-auto capabilities of the smg are there to make up for the lack of auto fire on the rifle.
In Halo 2 you have to spend a lot more time considering what weapon to use in your current situation, that's why it's so much better than Halo.
Incidently does anyone else play on Xbox Live? |

| Re: Video Game Night I've never really liked the idea of weapons balancing in FPS... But then again thats probably because my strategy used to involve roaming the level on routes that crossed the most powerful weapons and attempting to horde them whilst racking up the frags...
(Not very sporting but certainly fun ) |

Blowing peoples' limbs off and the such.
Oh well - im quite fond of the needler and red plasma rifle/smg combo - take down their shield with the needler then tag them with the smg. |

| Re: Video Game Night Smg and plasma pistol pwn50r. The fully charge plasma pistol take shields down in one shot then a few taps to the head with the smg finishes them off. You have to be accurate with the pistol though or you're dead. |
