| Video Game Night I think we should have a video game night. Not necessarily all the time, just a wee fanny around on the Megadrive on Jims Screen or summit.
That would be awesome. MKII Tournies and Toejam and Earl

| Re: Video Game Night I think we have overlooked a few things:
GOLDENEYE!?!
HALO?!?
PERFECT DARK!?!
all amazing games that would be amazing on the big screen! players one and two would have to sit upstairs to see their players. But having said that something requireing more skill, like Splinter Cell (#3 as that has multiplayer). |

| Re: Video Game Night Dude, if we're doing Halo, we're doing the graphically superior sequel (8 player obviously).
I'd like to see us hiring a bunch of PCs and doing Lan gaming in Qudos. Half-Life 2 or Quake anyone? Maybe a spot of C&C?
A Wii session also sounds like fun, but there might be problems from things like phones if they're are too many people in the bar.
We could always get one of these babies for the Games Room.
A DS gaming session could be good as well? How many players does Mario Kart DS support?

| Re: Video Game Night You can do a Lan pretty much anywhere (depending on space) but you only have the big screen in Qudos... Ergo I think console games might be more appropriate... Unless your going to hire out a hell of a lot of PCs... |

PC games seem to be percieved as being less cool, so we probably wouldn't get as many 'drop-in' player wanting to have a go. I still think it'd be cool tho.
Shame GUNS (Glasgow Uni Network Gaming Scoiety) appeared to die on it's arse. An event with then in the QM would be well cool fun. |
