agree solid is usually excellent for gettin requests played and the variety of music is too but for some reason last night it just wasn't happening(maybe player list was jammed lol).as for "whingeing on here"aren't forum 's for expressing ur point of view?yeah i did ask nicely n get 1 track played for my mate's birthday.the solid is an excellent pub and i love it so i def won't let some thrash metal scare me away i'll just bring my i pod next time lol!

it's clearly cos i'm on holiday! As folk have said, just come and speak to us, we're generally quite unscary! The variety of music played, especially at the weekends, is usually a good spread of most genres. And we do play a lot of requests, so really if what you hear is not to your tastes, it's the other customers you should be moaning to! In future do feel free to have a word with myself, kenny or stew.
If it played thrash all the time I'd be there a lot more.
