Religion V Evolution (Round 1) ding ding

Voice your opinion here peope! I think evolution is a load of rubbish myself. why aren't the apes still evolving? I also don't really belive any religion either. There is just no proof for either or. It all comes down to belief. I say, just do the best you can to be happy and to be a good person. Love life! What do you's think??

Re: Religion V Evolution (Round 1) ding ding

I have never been able to fathom the belief that one single being, god, created everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, and constantly has an eye on everything that goes on in the world. I know he is not described as a being like humans, but a force like that, being in control of everything blows me away.

With everything that is going wrong in the world, I know a lot of people say its gods plan, and its like a punishment for how we treated ourselves and the world, but if thats true, then that means were in charge of our actions, therefore god doesnt control us and there is no such thing as fate!

TBH, I would be so happy to believe in god, I like that comforting thought of believing someone is looking after you, and there is hope after death, but im too much of a sceptic

They are. And if you go to Airdrie you can watch the process in reverse.

Evolution violates the second law of thermodynamics. Things cannot become more complex if left to their own devices.

Jesus.... Christ....
Well... not that I beleive there was anything special about the dude.
Anyway, back to the point!
WHAT??!>!>!¬!

We have witnessed evolution on a bacterial scale first hand.
There are thousands upon thousands of transitional fossils.
Things CAN become more complex through genetic mutations, and in the 80's we witnessed the evolution of a bacteria doing exactly this and creating new genetic material with which to digest Nylon. Nylon didnt even exist before.
The apes are still evolving along with every single life-form on earth.
Evolution is FACT!

How do you think we can breed cows and pigs and dogs and cats to look certain ways? To produce more meat?
This has been going on for thousands of years and is a perfect demonstration of the powers of evolution.
Does not the fact that we can and do take control of the genetic mutations that cause evolution, to maniplulate the evolution of certain species (and very successfully at that) not demonstrate it's factual nature?

God put those fossils there to make it look like the world developed naturally.

I should have posted this, here.
