Aye, oor clubhoose is spanking new and decent. We just have to pay or fees by October. And we do get a club shirt and club rainjacket once we do pay so its not too bad.

Cannae wait for our next game.

i'm surprised colin hasn't been on this laughing about my collision with the posts in training.

so before he does...

summary:
1) it really fucking hurt
2) it made an amazing "PING!" noise as i hit it at pace.

Playing Lanark away this Saturday. We should win. Looking for my 2nd try in 2 matches here.

Been training really hard these last few weeks and I seem to have put on hauf a stone somehwere.

We've been doing these fitness drill which involves sitting in the plank position for about a minute, getting up and driving a bag on the left for 5 then tackling a bag on the right then back down to the plank position for another minute before doing that again.

Torture so it is. Torture.

Playing between Scrum Half and Wing. I like both positions quite well. And aye apperently as we got relegated last year, it should be an easier year this year. But who knows?

I think we only have 13 games all in this season for sure (12 games in the league and 1 in the cup). Infact 14. Crocks vs Colts at the end of season.

Our 2xv (where i'll prob end up) got promoted last year into National 2, along with Hawick, Melrose and loads of other right good teams. we have 26 league games

yeh, it's a 14 team league.

Was to be 12 and then Hawick and Melrose decided that they wanted to re-enter the 2XV leagues giving everyone 4 more games.

The borders league (where their 2s have played for the last 5 years or so) wasn't proving tough enough for them to move players up from the 2s to the 1XV.

The costs to the borders clubs of having lots of teams in national leagues is hefty, but they're not getting to play at a high enuff level amongst themselves.

Our under 18's have 7 league games and thats it. 8 team league and they play everyone once. Shitty way they have done it this year with them. Their season is over for the end of November.

And aye I get what yer saying, we've been told it'll be a lot easier this year as the lower ye go, the less teams like to tackle.

yeh, the 18s usually have a short season, we then get most of them games in the 3rds or if they're physical enuff in the 2s. the odd guy will get a run out with the 1s.

I dunno how many teams you guys run now, so that might not be poss at Uddy.

I played my first game for our 1s when I was 17 at Openside amazing, my wee bro played at 16. But we were big fuckers.

Aye we have a young guy James who is 16 that is ready for the 1's. The boy's a tank. Think he has to get all clear from the docs so he can play though.

We just have the 1's and 2's teams this year. Not sure if the 2's are even in a league though.
