When I got my first letter in saying I could have a place it said something like 'please respond by August 15th' then a few lines later 'the GGSL will be closed from August 1st to September 22nd'. Which is just plain daft, especially since it was the 7th when I got that letter. I can only assume one or two people are in there some of the time as a sort of skeleton crew, accounting for the almost total lack of information being sent out

A friend of mine just completed his post grad forensic informatics, and is returning to do a phd (I think). You will indeed be in the RC, forensics has a little tucked away corner no one else uses, except for a common room next to it which always seems to be locked for some reason. If you get lost I could easily make it worse point you in the right direction

He enjoyed it loads - the phd is partly about there not being a job in the field he wants right now, and the phd being well funded and tax free. Two more years at uni, getting paid for it sounds good to me

Personally I think he just likes jumping in puddles of fake blood to make pretty patterns...

I just got a letter offering a bursary for a course I'm not doing. The wonders of that place eh?

Going in to register with the uni on Monday. I wandered through the Assembly Hall on Friday, it seemed quiet.

Ugh, got my letter this morning - dress is informal but smart, getting photos done during the first week so formal dress required - WHAT?

And my classes start on the 27th at 9am. Holy hell. I have a tattoo appointment for the 29th

i registered yesterday, english spanish law sociology and psychology for me.
i have an awesome timetable as well, an hour on a monday and friday and the earliest iam in all week is 10 on a wednesday, yay

I can matriculate by post this year, happy days. My fees are also suspiciously low.

I fear I'll get hit with another whack come dissertation o'clock.

As far as it would appear, Kenny, you only pay for your dissertation section when it's closer and you actually note that you want to do it.

Until then they seem to assume you're not sure yet.
