Does anybody who's done nursing at caley know roughly when they hold the interviews?

& is it an individual interview or a group one (like RGU)

cheers x

It's individual, but I don't know when they are.

Re: Interviews for nursing?

I have an interview in less than 3 weeks, so the next big question is...

what do they ask/do in them?!

Re: Interviews for nursing?

they tend to ask what kind of person you are
why you want to be a nurse
are you prepared for the trials/work involved?

This is all I can remember offhand from mine, but it was 7 years ago mind.

I hope to hear back about mines shortly too.

If you have yours before me, can you give me a heads up as to what kind of questions will be asked and where you went? Caley/Paisley etc?

Also when did you send away your form? Was it through CATCH or UCAS?

I sent my form yesterday. *nervous*

Re: Interviews for nursing?

i don't know about nursing but i'm doing midwifery and i assume the interviews will be pretty similar.

They just asked me why i wanted to do the course, what i could bring to the profession, any experience I had. To be honest it was really relaxed. The interview is really just to see if you'd fit in in the course, they aren't going to ask you any questions about nursing that you can't answer- that's why you want to do the course, so that you can learn.

Just convince them that you are commited to dedicating the next 3 years of your life to the course and you'll be fine.

Good Luck!

I sent my CATCH form away in like, December. First decided to apply for RGU then decided against that and had it forwarded to to Caley.

I know RGU do group interviews where they just sit and chat about a topic to see what kind of person you are, and Abertay is similar. Just don't want to be caught out with any unexpected questions!
