University of Glasgow crest

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who can suggest where I can get a ( preferably black and white) copy of the Glasgow Uni crest for the front page of my thesis. Have found a colour version on the web (found via google) but this is only a gif and kinda on the small side so when I put it on my front page it just looks pixelated. Ideally I'm looking for an .eps file but anything that I can reliably scale up would probably do fine (or I can convert it to an .eps myself). I'm surprised I couldn't find somewhere on the Glasgow Uni website where I could find this file.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I don't think those are really what Chuck is looking for. They'll start to look pixalated when you blow them up to fit on the center of an A4 page. However, if you find someone who's good with a vectoring tool, such as Indesign, then you could trace one of the small images and then blow up the vector drawing.

Good God man! Get some scissors and pritt stick and cut up an old Uni letter or something!

Ye those are the ones that I had already found, using the 4th one down but doesn't look too good when I put it on the front on my thesis...thanks anyway though.

I had thought that I could sit and play around trying to make a vector image (using Inkscape...open source equivalent to freehand or the like) but I realise that would just be procrastinating....when I've got more important things to do like making sure the thesis is actually not just a load of rambling nonsense. I know it could be done but to be honest the fish, bell, tree etc within the crest would take me too long to trace round....I'm not exactly proficient with graphics tools....shall see what my sister is doing this evening...she's good with all that...

Octavian's link above is a (scalable) eps...

It'll open in a vector package or you can rasterize it in photoshop at whatever size you want.

Why didn't I notice that...cheers toast...and Octavian....now just to finish of the slightly more important bit of the thesis....the words (plus one or two figures)!
