Access course interviews

I have an interview next week for an access course in social anthropology and philosophy. I've been told it will last 45 mins and was just wondering if anyone had any experience of this and what I should expect.

Re: Access course interviews

I did an access course, but I didn't have to have an interview. I'd imagine it will focus mainly on your life skills and experiences, what you've done which will help you adjust to university life etc. Also, make sure you have lots of valid reasons for wanting to do the course, show your enthusiasm etc. Good luck!

Re: Access course interviews

I'm supposed to do Foundation Diplomas in art and design... but it was totally rubbish so I left. Now I'm worried I'll have to do some kind of strange interview to get into University... Lemme know how it goes!

Re: Access course interviews

When I did my access course, the interview lasted all of about 15 mins, and consisted of them asking why I wanted to do the course, and what qualifications did I get a t school.

Then they proceeded to tell me that I would find the course very easy, and would posibly be really bored by the end.

Then told me that I started the following week.

Re: Access course interviews

Its not like an entry interview, its basically them telling you about the course, who your different teachery people will be, make sure it sounds like what you're after etc. They don't turn anybody down, its pennies in their pockets.
