| student loans help
Got my award letter last week had my bursary but no sign of my loan.
When I took in my letter to registry last year, the woman said I didnt actually have to to get my loan, is this right?
I have called student loans but I gave up after 25 minutes on hold.

Im confused... you want the loan or not? If your wanting it and its not came through yet then phoning them is the best bet as it usually comes through either the same day or a few days before/after the bursary!

I took mine in cos it said at the top in big letters "take this to registry" but she said its ment to go in automatically and they dont deal with the SLC.
Wait have you even got your letter from SLC yet? Were you late applying? If youve only just got your bursary then your loan might be delayed as its dealt with by SLC not SAAS.

Your loan will not go into your account until it has been scanned by the registry office at your University.

I dunno, I just know that I get a loan and a bursary and on the letter is a bar code which MUST be scanned in order for the money to be transfered into my account. Maybe other people's are different.
