| Mitchell Library? Just stuck this is here because it's study related.
I've never been in before and the websites useless - but does it have plenty of quiet study areas? That might sound stupid since it is a library but my unis library is overun at this time of year and I need peace and quiet.
If not, which library is best to go to for above reasons (except glasgow uni library)?
Ta much. |

Ta much. | It's pretty big with lots of reading rooms, but I suspect lots of other people will have the same idea as you so it might be just as busy.
What about your local library? |

| Re: Mitchell Library? See if you go to one of the tutorital rooms in the Adam smith? We did that today. Doubt folk are using them now. Also, the Adam Smith labs are dead if you need a pooter.
The library is MENTAL right now.
Hope you got on okay!

Ta much. | Its usually quite, unless wee daft school kids are in.
There are a good few study rooms for use but its first come first serve. If you get in early enough you'll be fine. The english lit section (5th floor) is the quietest open section. |

| Re: Mitchell Library? There are study carrels on the 2nd and 5th, but you do need to get in early. They can also smell really quite odd, as well. The kids doing Highers did my fucking nut in when I was working there. Proximity to the Bon Accord redeems it though.
I'm so glad to be back at uni, with a 24hr library in my building - just a slipper shuffle away. |

It's 24 hour/4 hour books that are the killer, cause everyone needs em now, they've made more of the core texts short loan.

| Re: Mitchell Library? Glasgow is huge, but so busy right now.
Aye but when you think there's like, 80 people on a course, 12 essay questions... I'd rather only have 4 hours with a book and a chancve of getting it than none at all.
There's nothing worse than people WHO FUCKING HIDE BOOKS too. People turn into dicks near exam time.
