you should start out on something simple, then you can lead it onto lots of other things and not end up drawing yourself into a corner
eg. my mate started drawing his ring and ended up drawing animal skeletons and my other friend who started drawing a ring ended up drawing decaying and rusted things (because she drew the rings from boat chains and stuff)
world = your oyster | an A that's amazing well done!! only one person in my school got an A, the rest got C's.
But like, I would start off &work my way towards a theme but he wants us to have a definite theme for like the end of the week which is a bit restricting really... thanks anyway, though love |

i dont think its a good idea to know exactly what your theme is at the beginning because theres no room to explore and come up with lots of different interesting experiments
could feminine stereotypes fit? or the image of femininity |

hehe
but aye something i think would be interesting is if you were to work on an "artist's book" cos it's not something that's really done that often and would stand out - think of something that affects you deeply and try pour that emotion into a varied amount of work that links together and if one work stands out rather than the whole then thats always a bonus

| Re: Advanced Higher Art uhm by that i mean a book with the one idea running throughout with the same style - in a way not too dissimilar to a series of photographs on a wall...so it could have images and text or just one
it's a good way to develop an idea through one piece of work.
something to try is mindwebbing - its pretty good for coming up with ideas, or just goin out and doing something like taking photographs or just collecting items that interest you
