To all Caledonian students.
CALEY SUCKS!!! if it was a country it would be Australia (A cultureless penal colony) can i ask does your letter of "Acceptance" say "I sentence you to 4 years hard time and a lifetime CV stain at Caledonian university, Im Sorry" Or is Caley merely a rehab centre in disguise as a crap Polytechnic?? P.S. sorry to hear bout your union (Shack) burnin down, and even sorrier to hear, none of u neds or excons were burned with it!!!!! I also heard the name of Glasgow Caledonian is to be changed to the University of DUUUHHHH! with its sole courses being Rehab 1 and Moron science, thus condencing ur current courses into just 2 with more approriate names, all forms will be completed in Crayon with awards for the worst spelling and a warning "Neds and Ex-cons only need apply!!"

I think i'm going to Cry

The Caley uni (polytechnic) is what you make of it, i have recently started to appreciate the place a lot more. No degree from anywhere is worth a lot these days. Going to Caley suits my work ethic of not doing a lot of work. However most of the people i know that go to caley are pretty intellegent and seem more clued up than their Glasgow Uni Counterparts.

I am under no illusion that my degree from here will be worth much, nor do i ever use the union of other facilities becuase i have better places to use for my needs.

Caley also has a good mix of poeple , i can't fault it there, infact i have talked more chicks in the shack that go to Strathclyde than anywhere else ?!?

You know there's a few courses you can only do at Caley around here - i hear nursing there is far more hands-on than glasgow uni, and some subjects like chiropody you just cant do anywhere else in the area. Imo the only time Caley sucks is when doing a fairly generic subject that you just couldnt get into anywhere else. Law for example - a law degree from there will get you a solid career in accident claims companies

ppl are quick to dis it - but rlly.....who gives a fuck. your there cuz you want to be there -for wotever reason - and at the end of the day you some out with same qualification (in most cases) as any other uni - and yea i can appreciate some employers are so far up their asses - they cant see past a name of a uni ... but at the end of the day - i no - i would much rather not work for some arrogant prat who is materialistic and wants nothin more than the satisfaction of havin a "good name" . so fuck it - end of. dont like it - dont fuckin go.

IMO employers don't even give a fuck if you have a degree, illustrated by the large amount of graduates i know who work in:

a. call centres
b. banks
etc...

I have found from personal experience that the only thing to do is go back and get a postgrad or summat. a lot of degrees are far from vocational these days

there is sod all wrong with cali, in on PODIATRY (not chiropody) and this is one of 2 places in scotland that i can do it, the other being QMU in edinburgh and compaired to that place ours is better.

Dry ur eyes, its ur fault u went to a shite uni, all the Caley students i know (a fair few) have the IQ of the plankton fed on by the bottom feeding creatures of the sea, as opposed to the bottom feeding land creatures (Caley students) Ex cons and Neds lol, I went to glasgow because unlike caley students i have the intelligence to go to a decent uni, with culture, history, and above all, students whose IQ is much higher than all the Caley students put together, mind u, so is the IQ of the average glass of water. So. Who would willingly go to Caley? I answer.... Only a yogurt. I didn't go to the University of Glasgow for very long so I have quoted the parts I need extra help understanding, I couldn't find them in PapaZeb's Dictionary.com
