| Just to avoid confusion for anyone going, the venue is called Studio 24. The Mission is the fortnightly Saturday night club. |

The Mission is the fortnightly Saturday night club (same venue). |

| Indeed. Zealous is merely a night at Studio 24 (a.k.a. Calton Studios), not a venue. As is the Mission, and as are DKY, Keroscene and Dysfunction.

| Sorry to say, you'll get too much of that stuff in most places. It's called commercial reality - the clubs often can't get a big enough audience to be financially viable if they don't cater to the masses. This unfortunately often means the lowest common denominator.
If you want something less mainstream, go to a smaller, less mainstream club night. Try DKY, dysfunction or Keroscene at Studio 24 in Edinburgh. Try An-R-K at the Cathouse or New Flesh at Destiny in Glasgow. Away from the twin cities, I don't really know Scottish clubs too well, so you're on your own after that.

| Dysfunction is pretty meanstream usually, Keroscene on Wednesdays at Studio 24 plays the heavier stuff. There's a new night called For Those About To Rock which plays older stuff, check the EMS site for details: http://www.edinburghmetalscene1.co.uk |

| Went to Asylum the other week, wasn't that impressed to be honest tho they did play some heavier stuff as the night went on. Mission is ok tho, cuz it has the goth/industrial upstairs, which is always good!

| Misled Youth from Dundee? They're good, people, I recommend them! And by a strange coincidence, are on Raskol Records' forthco... oh, you know where I'm going with.
