sooooooooo many questions .....

just wondering me and my usual lot were thinking of coming over to go to mission but we have a few questions

where is it
when is it
who goes , as it seems that most of the bedlam lot go over for it
also is the music similar to that played at bedlam but over more floors ???

downstairz at the mish iz much more ur uzual rock/metal/grunge/punk material, upstairz iz goth/ebm/industrial every 2nd week, i can't remember what it iz the other week az i've never been

right , not a prob then . last quick one is what is the easiest way of finding mission ???? i have a friend that goes to napier and stays in the halls near the UGC is it anywhere near that ???

Nowhere near!

Best way to get there from Weedge is train to the Waverly.

Go to Platform one and walk right the way down until you come to a staircase, it takes you up, then down. When you get down you're on Calton Road (The Venue is opposite you), turn right and head down the road, go under the rail bridge, go past what look like new flats (cos they are) on the left. Keep going down the road, you'll see some more new flats on the left, right beside them is the club.

Cool! Shall be in Edinburgh 7 - 19 August. Guess I'll try The Mission on 13 August then

The Mission does rock/metal every week (its on every Saturday. Goth rotates fortnightly with hardcore.

Other rocky/metaly/gothy places in Edinburgh

OK

Mon - Opium, but I don't reccomend
Tues - Opium, but I still don't recomend
Wed - The Pit/Bang rotate fortnightly at Subway Cowgate
Thurs - Genetic at Citrus Club
Fri - Disko Bloodbath is on monthly at Ego, not sure when its next on tho.
Sat - Jeckyl & Hyde pub do a pre-club night every Saturday during August that is rock/goth friendly. Also on fortnightly Sats (I think) is Ascension at teviot.
Sun - Neon/Doghouse rotate every fortnight at Subway Cowgate. Neon is more goth. Doghouse is more old rockers!

Plenty pubs to check out to - The AUld Hoose, Hollyrood Tavern, Blind Beggar, Black Bull (Leith St one, not Grassmarket one), Bannermans

Considering the 13th myself need to book bus tickets though.

Anyway other metal clubs, i always like opium ( http://www.opiumrocks.com/ ) Sunday night £1 a drink.

We usually take a big crew through from Glasgow to Edinburgh 'the Glasgow crew' for nights like the Mission (when the goth/EBM floor is on) & Ascension etc. Last time I think we had 12 on the coach from Buchanan Street Bus station with an assortment of fnely concealed drinks in coke bottles up the back haha!

But you are welcome to join us next time the crew are going through

classy ! but the best part is that they never seem to bother when ur doing that .

might come along to the next mission on the 13th but it depends on whether i can find a pair of size 12/13 new rocks in time

really want the 161's but most places on have them up to a 11/12

also seeing as you have done this before paul , what times are the busses and how much ???
