Was anything that was said to the guy really that bad? I don't know the content of any moderated posts or anything but he did seem more than a wee bit oversensitive to be honest.

I don't agree with anyone getting bullied or picked on in any situation really but seems to me at least as many people were civil as took the piss which is about the best you can hope for on t'net.

Mainly about altering of personal images, which I'm dealing with at the moment.

Still the amount of shit talk people get on here has went beyond acceptable so since the buck stops with me I'm going to change the way this place is moderated. You can all thank everyone in this thread and those who seem to think it's ok to give people shit for no reason. I figure about 95% of the users won't notice much change the other 5% will hate it.

I'm having trouble understanding what was even offensive about it.

The joke was clearly a tongue-in-cheek comparison between Ketaminko's Samurai armour and one of Gary Glitter's stage outfits and nothing more.

Fair enough, it seemed obvious that he took offense to it straight away so maybe you could say the photo alteration was pushing it but it's not like anyone was accusing him of his crimes.

I your opinion, in mine it was someone get shit for relatively little other than "not being cool enough" for some people or "people getting wide to look cool". It's a fine line between us being a good site and us looking like tits.

I'm hearing it more and more thought that people think this place is pretty unwelcoming at times.

Y'know, I really want to equivocate here, I really do. Partly because I hold you in somewhat high regard.

But I think you're either seriously over-reacting or blaming your perception of this site altering with the passage of time on its users.

Or possibly both. Neither are particularly admirable.
