| Re: piercing question you can buy it from boots mate. ask them for E45 hydrocortisone cream.
it might be an idea to get a wee bottle of tea tree oil too, because that definately helps clean it. i just put the cream on before i went to bed, then used the oil during the day to save me walking about work with white cream on my ear. |

| Re: piercing question I really really wouldn't recommend putting E45 on a piercing - it clogs it up and could result in a worse 'bubble'. Tea Tree Oil is a bit too harsh, too, IMO. I rule of thumb I've read is that if you're not willing to put it in your eye, don't put it on a healing/irritated piercing. |

I'll just batter about with a contact lens over it. |

| Re: piercing question Aye, cos that's exactly what I meant
Healing tissue is very delicate and many chemcials are too harsh and destroy the tissue rather than promote healing. As the tissue in and around the eye is also very delicate and sensitive to chemicals then the 'eye' rule is pretty good to bear in mind.
The human body heals the peircing - any chemicals or aftercare are meant to aid this. If it's destroying or irritating the tissue then it kind of defeats the purpose of 'aftercare'. |

| Re: piercing question Erm, I'm with Fenn on that one. As for boiled salt water, yes, I'd put that in my eye. Cos, y'know, it's essentially what tears are. If you make it so strong that you wouldn't put it in your eye then it's too strong for a piercing.
It's a pretty good rule, really. |

| Re: piercing question Hey, this is nothing to do with tragus piercings, but I just got my conch done on Monday, it's been fine all week, then yesterday it stared to swell again and it's really sore to touch. Is it just a bad reaction? Cause I got my rook done and it didn't do that, was reaaaalllyyyy sore though at the time. Any advice on what to do? I really don't wanna have to take it out.
Would be grateful for any advice/comments.
xxxx
