Does titanium jewellery in piercings set off metal detectors?

I haven't been anywhere near a metal detector since I was 8 so I pretty much have no clue.

Would piercings, with titanium jewellery in them, set off metal detectors such as the ones in airports or the ones police are using to search for knives?

I'm sure I remember my friends cock ring setting off the ones in court. My steelies set it off causing me to have a mild heart attack wondering what nearby jakey had stashed their knife in my pocket when i wasn't looking

a good titanium shouldnt be magnetic, and I think thats what sets off the detectors. also it looks at conductivity, and titanium is a poor conductor. so you should be safe.

I used to set these things off regardless of what I was wearing, it was bizarre. Anyways, at the risk of sounding like a grown up you could always remove your piercings before going through security if you're a bit nervous about it. Problem solved.
