Re: New scarification

those pictures don't look like skin removal. it'll just be a cut is made and another inside it a bit deeper untill the opening is as wide as you want it.

the type of scar you want dictates how you care for it afterwards. if you want it to keloid, picking it, and argivating it are on the cards. if you want a more stubtle one then hydrogen peroxide and no picking will get you there.

Re: New scarification

It was done using single line cutting with a No. 11/10 scalpel and the heart branding above it was done using an electro-cautery unit, which gives a far more uneven and organic look to it.

The after care for scarification is pretty simple but it varies depending what you want the final look to be. I just kept it clean with anti-bacterial soap and removed any scabs that formed using the blunt side of a curved suture removing blade for a scalpel. A lot of people use different techniques like cleaning it with a tooth brush and tooth paste but this tends to rip the edges slightly and can ruin the original design... not to mention the fact that with branding particularly you need to be pretty strict when it comes to keeping it clear from any infection.
