| Want ink? part two
As you may be aware I am in training to be a tattoo artist, and it has come to the point where I am looking for more volunteers. This time for outlines as well as colouring. At the moment we are looking at any designs but obviously some will be out with my skill range. We will need to see your design and placement before we can tell you if it is suitable, as some designs and body areas may be more suited to training than others. Obviously I must stress that I am in training but the sessions will have Leon (who has been tattooing for 14 years) and Matt (who has been tattooing for eight years) on hand to supervise.
Just to summarise:
- At the moment I am considering any tattoos but some will obviously not be suitable
- Your tattoo will be done at a slower pace and will possibly need retouching after it has healed
- As you will not be getting a tattoo done by a qualified tattoo artist it will be FREE. However you will need to be available at a time suitable for me. In most cases Wednesday afternoon or Saturday. So unless your hourly rate is greater than the price of the tattoo you will need to take some time off.
- Tattoos will be done at a slower pace as they are a learning exercise, so a design that would normally take one session may take two or three
- The studio operates on a “if you look under 25 we will I.D. you” policy. This is regardless if you have been tattooed before. So if you are under 25 or look it, bring I.D.
