| Navel Piercing
I am wondering if it is advisable to repierce my belly button for the 2nd time in the same hole. I originally had it pierced years ago, but I let it close and heal due to an infection. I want to repierce it again using the same hole. I've heard that scar tissue from previous piercings is more prone to infection. I dont have a great deal of scar tissue, but there is some minor scar tissue there. If anyone has had any experience with repiercing in the same place please let me know what the results are. I really want to do it, but I am worried about possible adverse results like infection or unattractive appearance.
xoxo
peace,
Eva |

| Re: Navel Piercing I dont think it's more prone to infection, I think sometimes its more painful to repierce through scar tissue as well |

| Re: Navel Piercing My mates ex-girlfirend got hers repierced, and said it was much worse the second time round; but that could have just been her.
If you are though, and worried about infection, make sure you get that Savlon spray and use it two-three times a day, which should keep it clean enough not to cause you any problems.

| Re: Navel Piercing It'll be a bit sorer, other than that I don't think there should be any other problems. It's a lot less likely to reject as well. I wouldn't recommend savlon spray though, I'd say stick with saline solution soaks twice a day. |

| Re: Navel Piercing Aye?
Savlon spray was great when I used it - and was ideal for that kind of piercing (navels/nipples.. as opposed to your nose or something!)
Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. | I'd use it on an old piercing that had flared up or something, but it's a bit strong for new piercings. |

| Re: Navel Piercing i'd be with the salt soaks also, and not the savlon spray for new piercings.
if in any doubt pop into a piercers and ask their opinion. There's a few good ones you'll find details for in the tattoo and piercing forum. |
