Pierced initially with glass retainer?

Is it possible to have my vertical lip pierced with a autoclavable eyebrow retainer?

Any ideas if Nirvana would do it?

Just suggestions. I'll likely go in the next time I get a spare second to myself (could be forever the way I'm going with work and college!)

I dont think they pierce with glass, you'd have to wait the 6 weeks then change it as far as im aware

probably not, best bet would be to phone them in the morning 552 5706.

you know glass is still really fucking obvious and will still be noticed as much as steel?

...especially as it might need to be a bit longer incase it swells after piercing to avoid it becoming imbedded

Aye. I realise that. I've got the weekend off next week and don't have to go back to work til a week on Friday.

I just pure miss it

I disillusioned myself when I came across this picture:

It's probably not such an good idea....

Re: Pierced initially with glass retainer?

fixed your link for you and changed it over to a link, BME are funny about you posting their pictures elsewhere.

you'd need to heal it fully before you started playing about with retainers, something which by the sounds of it you don't really have the option of.

Re: Pierced initially with glass retainer?

Aye, I edited it like 4 times to try get the link to work, posted it as an image and decided I should just change it to a link Yeah. Ucht. Big sighs. I'll just need to be patient and wait it out.

At the moment when I'm in work I just take out my lip, monroe and nostril. But it's still fairly obvious (especially the monroe) that there is a hole where something should be. But I've had my lip done 5 years, my nostril about 3 and my monroe just under a year so I can just leave them out and no' bother about them.

Re: Pierced initially with glass retainer?

not a big fan of that vertical labret tbh as it seems to come out the front of the lip instead of the top.

Re: Pierced initially with glass retainer?

Y'know...I thought that too...

Here's a picture of what mines looked like:

That vertical lip on bme gave me hope because it was more noticable than mine was yet still looked quite well hidden. I have quite full lips and I have a wee dimple kind of where my lip piercing is meaning that with a 3mm ball it's barely visible unless I smile.
