| Good vs Bad I really like stuff like this.. you can see the art in it..
However, stuff like this is just shite. Why would anyone honestly want this on them forever?
What do you think is good and bad tattoo art? |

| Re: Good vs Bad Pretty bloody obvious really - it means something to them!
I have two tattoos (possibly three, still debatable) and I know that other people aren't keen on them, but I like them!
Surely it's better to have something that holds special meaning and significance drawn on you for the rest of your life than something you just thought looked pretty?
*though as a disclaimer I'm fairly sure that both the people you've shown have had it done because it is something significant to them, rather than purely for aesthetic reasons.

| Re: Good vs Bad The Stitch one, despite not being a subject matter I would consider, is exceptionally well done, which is all you can really hope for from a tattoo seeing as everyone is gonna favour different designs based on personal taste. |

| Re: Good vs Bad A wee swatch at the cherry blossom thread indeed confirms it's still a work in progress.
It has to be said Stitch is very well done.

| Re: Good vs Bad I fucking love the tattoo yer man above me needled me with, I mean seriously love it, as it has so much meaning to me.
My mate on Friday said she thinks it's fucking stupid.
So everyone has their own opinions/tastes, as with everything in life. Such as yer man Steve-O of Wildboys/Jackass fame, he said his tattoos mean nothing to him but he gets the to make people laugh, and if one person laughs then the tattoo is a success.
I am totally against people getting stars (unless they really do love them), as it has become a total trend over the past few years, and how many guys will seriously want a set of stars on their arm when their like 50.

I'm going to be a total hypocrite here to myself, but I agree with you I don’t like people that get star tattoos even though I have two myself both of mine have meaning behind them and I love stars in general. I don’t just go out and get a star tattoo for the sake that everyone else does, I always find away to make mines different from all the ones you see people walking about with these days.

AKA. The more people try to be different, the more they stay the same. |

| Re: Good vs Bad To a certain extent yeah, but you can modify them to make them your own and not just have 3 wee stars or your wrist or a nautical one!!!

It's a matter of personal taste, it's on YOU, so doesn't really matter what other folk think. |
