| Re: Getting my first tattoo. Didn't the manager/owner of Blancolo joing the forum a while back to have a go at folk who were saying his studio, its location and the quality of work from there was shite? But aye, I've heard nothing but bad press about that place, dinny go there.
And you can't go to where I got my second tattoo either......'cos it's closed down now.

| Re: Getting my first tattoo. My script tattoo was done at Irezumi and is cracking ('Devin' across my left wrist). I've got another one incorporating script planned and am getting it done at Chameleon sometime in the near future. I've also had work done by Kev at Tribe 2 and do recommend him.

Good guy and he is a perfectionist. | Oo, I was going to ask cos I walk past there all the time and was VERY tempted to nip in the other day to get my next tat. I know what I want (it's lettering) so I think I might...
Anyway, there's not much I can add to what's been said |

I imagine most places are the same? How long it takes shouldn't really come into it if it is something you have your heart set on.
Also Irezumi has got a great rep, alot of my friends have work done by him and it's always been great. | I thought most places tattooed by time, with a slightly higher rate if custom work. I know Custom Inc have a rate of £60 an hour, which is pretty reasonable as he's a great artist. |

| Re: Getting my first tattoo. My first tattoo was £25 because they did it per hour with a minimum of £25, and mine was only to take half an hour, and that was Kev at Tribe 2.

| Re: Getting my first tattoo. i know this might sound silly/ obvious, but don't forget to take ID with you. Proper ID like a drivers liscence, provisional or passport.
Loads of reputable places will ID you and I know of a fair few folk who simply haven't thought to take ID and been turned away and had to go back another day |

| Re: Getting my first tattoo. That's ridiculous. What 14 year old carries ID. I remember when I was 15 I asked for a half on the bus, and the driver wouldn't except that I was a half, saying I should pay full. Then he demanded ID, I remember yelling that I didn't have ID cause I was 15. Not relevant, but annoying. |
