Snug

Hallo.
I had my snug pierced & it sort of fell out/ripped out. Now when I touch it, there's a definite gap in the cartilage, but the skin is fine. My ear without it, seems a bit uneven & I would like to get it pierced again, just wondering if it'd be possible or I'd have to move it up a bit or else where.

Cheers x

Re: Snug

Cartilage doesn't grow back, so the hole will have sealed over with scar tissue. I'm not 100% sure about getting it re-pierced - it would only be through the scar tissue, so it may not sit the same, but it'll probably heal faster than if it was through cartilage. Would it have to be in the exact same place, as you could get it pierced through the cartilage in a slightly different place (further up or down).

Re: Snug

Yeah, it doesn't really matter, but as it is scar tissue, it's a bit minging looking, so I was looking for a way to cover it hah.

Thanks

Re: Snug

you should be able to get it re pierced where it was, but it all does depend on how your body has taken to the healing up of it. your best bet would be to go into a studio and ask them to look at it. we normaly say leave it at least 3 months from when it was taken out to getting it re pierced but it all depends on the indvidual and how long they had it in for to start with
