| Re: Microdermals Karbon, Devastator and a couple other folk had them. I think their's all ripped out, though. I'd consider getting them, but I'd probably just get pissed off about being careful not to rip them out. |

| Re: Microdermals Aye I've had two, one ripped out accidentally (was on my wrist) and the other (on my nape) I snagged a few times and it rejected so I pulled it out.
Neither was painful to get done, but they got caught on everything, all the time.
Peatbog had one on her sternum which was nae bother to heal/look after but she took out, and Jen-Y has two on her clavicle which have healed fine and are lovely.
I'd like another one, I never learn. |

| Re: Microdermals I've seen a stunning photo of a girl with a wee row of them down her sternum - I'd be up for that if I could be bothered. |

| Re: Microdermals Do they just act like surface piercings? eg, they reject sometimes? I work at a bar so am gonna have to wear a wristband over them or somethin similar as not to get them caught or spilled on. I had my eyebrow bar ripped out, wasnt really a big event, but sounds utter agony if the microdermals were ripped out!! |

| Re: Microdermals AFAIK they're far less likely to reject, not really heard of them doing it. Not sure if my nape did reject or if I just pulled it half out one day, and a bit more the next, etc. Hard to tell coz I couldn't see it (obviously).
Neither of them was too sore coming out, no worse than getting them done anyway. |

| Re: Microdermals Well got one done on Sunday there. Gettin another one done next Sunday. Out of all my piercings that was the least painful. I was cackin it just before she did it, then i was like 'WOO do it again, that was a piece of piss!' Mind you, I did kinda get my nipple done on Saturday there, so comparing between the two, the microdermal was a breeze. Looks awesome too.
Theres a tip: Get yer nipple done just before any other peircing, makes everything seem less traumatic! |

| Re: Microdermals I've got them in my hip, while a piercing has like a 80% chance of rejection these have about 40-60% :]
Most painful experience of my life, my piercer said he's not going to put them in anyone's hip after mine because it's so difficult to gta grip on the skin but he assured me that anywhere else is only as painful as a piercing
Ehhh, go to nirvana to get it done cos if it rips out, they put it back in for free!
EDIT: i am a fanny and only read the first post

| Re: Microdermals I didnt find my first one sore, i think the endorphins had sorted out the pain but come the second one i was all out of natural pain killer and it hurt like an absolute bitch. Got a pain right down one side of my chest. I think to avoid this i'd only ever get one done at a time in future. I love mine. Got wee stars on them at the moment and i dont really get them caught on anything. They play up every few months but some salt soaks and they're back to being fine again. Try not to touch them.
They're FAR less offensive than surface piercing it think, much more pleasing to the eye! |
