| Stretched Ear issues Hey guys.
I've recently started the whole path of stretching my ears and i'm currently on 6mm with white acrylic plugs which i know are bad for healing but it's all i have.
I've been on 6mm now for around 2 months or a tad more. My intentions were to stretch a lot more frequent to get to my desired size, but i've had huge issues on 6mm.
First issue is crust and blood. Even after 2 months + i'm still getting stupid amounts of scabby crust round my plug and down the side of my neck when i wake up. When i clean them also, i'm still getting a lot of blood like it's still freshly stretched. Not 100% sure what to do.
The second issue is, just above my left tunnel i've developed what looks like a red spot. It's quite stingy when pressure is applied and it grows and decreases in size depending on my cleaning intervals. I never had this issue on any other size.
I'm not sure if i've stretched too sudden from 5mm to 6mm, which was around a 2 week waiting period. Also i'll mention that the ears were DIY pierced. I do have other piercings, but i felt i could trust my friend to do them. Everything was hygienic and sterilized. I wore my lip bars in my ears at 1.6 till i felt i could start stretching.
If you know of anything which might help these issues, i'd be very greatful to know of any treatments.
Cheers folks. |

Though I've found that the best thing you can do with them is clean them every day with protein-inhibiting contact-lens solution or use feminine-wipes (used for thrush and such) on them.
If you're having really manky problems, put the last size in and clean them fequently til they're healed and try again. |

| Re: Stretched Ear issues if its bleeding you've probably stretched too quickly, i had this problem and had to let my ear heal properly and start again from 2mm.
Good luck

wait 6 weeks between stretches and only use surgical steel or titanium while you're stretching.
*edit* probably shouldn't leave these things open for 20 minutes before actually hitting submit. |

If it's bleeding, your've stretched too quickly. I would suggest getting some 4mm (or 5mm if you must) steel tunnels that you can pop in and let your ears heal for a good couple of months until the ooze and blood has stopped. Keep cleaning them every day. I did this in the showers after my "routine", ensuring no shampoo or anything is stuck between the tunnel and lobe.
And as mentioned, leave it a good 6 weeks minimum before stretches. Longer if you can.
