I was really put off nirvana a few years back. My friend went in to get her lip pierced, I waited outside in the main bit. My friend told me that the woman done the usual, gloves on, alcohol wipe, pierce. But then the woman walked out the room with the canular still in my friends lip, went to the cash desk, started touching random things, then went and got the hoop from the drawer at the front of the shop, then went back in and put it in her lip! Maybe i was over reacting, but im sure there was a lot of cross contamination there, and when the woman came out to the front shop, she didnt seem too bothered about anything, taking her time and touching things with the same gloves on that she used to pierce
Of course my friends lip was extremely red and infected immedietly, had to take out after two weeks of agony.

| Re: Piercing FAQ same mishelle, i went to get my hood changed from hoop to bar, and she walked out the room. Not a clue what she did when she was out there, but I had to take it out a few weeks later. It was red and unattractive. =]
ended up on a course of antibiotics.
well fun going to your doctor and saying my genitals may be infected.

| Re: Piercing FAQ Well , I always say go to The piercing studio just round the corner. Rachel is a diamond, shes done a load of my piercings, shes really helpful, and even after two years away, when I went to get something else done she remembered me and even checked my other piercings and gave me advice on them. Really good lass to talk to

| Re: Piercing FAQ I've got my nose and my rook pierced by the woman in nirvana, she never left the room either time, and I've never had problems with infection at all.
What's the deal with GPS just now? The last few times I've been the area it's always been closed.

i dont actually think thats a fair comment to be made.If youre talking about Chris, the woman with long black hair then i feel the complete opposite. Shes done 3 of my piercings and ive never had any problems with them.
Maybe youve had a bad experience, but i dont feel its fair to be running about with the pitch forks.

I didn't name any names so there for i think it's a fair point, every time said person has pierced me it's not been right i.e lip piercing is off center and bars healing into my ears because there too short, and rather than condemning the hole piercing studio like some do. I don't think my comment is "running about with pitch forks". Everyone has different opinions of the work they have had done by people and fair play yours have turned out fine but as you said everyone's experience is different.

But isn't a lip piercing supposed to be off center to stop it ripping out your lip when you smile

x | the two piercings I've had done by her where squint and rejected.
My lip piercing was far too far off and the bar was too short, meaning it sank into my face, the amount of pain i had to deal with was not fun.
Anti tragus, bar far far too short, again, rejected, bled really badly and wasnt a good job.
Claire is right to say what she did, she has a right to her opinion. I wouldnt recommend chris either.

| Re: Piercing FAQ Christine has done my industrial, tragus, and nose. I've had no problems with any of them whatsoever and I've always found her to be really nice.
I got my tongue done at GPS. I don't know the name of the girl who did it. No problems there either though. |
