Re: Stretching FAQ

might as well just punch it you're wanting to go to that size.

and emla is a topical cream so meant to stop feeling in the top layer of skin, the pain from your conch is the cart putting preasure on it, which the emla won't make any difference to.

ibuprofen should do much more for you.

Re: Stretching FAQ

I can't be bothered to read this whole thread, so this might have been answered before but nevermind...

I stretched both my ears to 10mm a while ago with no issues at all and only minor itching or infection etc but my mum CRIED because she hated them so much so I took them out. They only shrunk back to about a 6 and I'd much rather have big holes than too small weird looking plugs or spacers so I've started going back up. I changed to an 8 in one ear and the other went to a 10 with relatively no pain but now both ears are horribly infected and swollen and scabby. I don't know why because I've never had any problems before and suddenly they're disgusting. Does anyone have any quick fix tips on how to get them clean and lovely again in only a few days, because I'm going to a festival pretty soon and I don't want to still need to be cleaning them when I'm camping because it's not going to happen really...
Thanks
x

Re: Stretching FAQ

What to do is take the plugs out and steep them in boiled salt water for 15 mins. That wont completely steralize them but will help. While they are out clean your ears with recently boiled salt water (cooled down obviously) and let your ears completely dry before you put the plugs back in. Any moisture will aid the infection. Once you put the plugs back in rub a small amount of Savlon cream right around the front and back of the holes. Repeat every morning, and remember to refrain from touching them during the day

Re: Stretching FAQ

If the swelling blows out, getting some vitamin e oil or good olive oil to massage into them should help the swelling & hopefully prevent any longterm damage. And take your plugs the fuck out! It can take ages and ages to recover from blowouts though so you'll have to deal with it or your ears will be permenantly fucked.

I say all this after having totally destroyed one of my ears by thinking "naaa I'll just downsize a a bit & it'll be fine". It won't

Re: Stretching FAQ

I agree. If your ears have definetly blown out, your gonna have to take em out asap and deal with them. If the infection is substantial you may even need to goto the docs for antibiotics.
