| Re: Stretching FAQ also fefe I'd wait at least a month before even going up another mm. The fact your ears were so pissy and sore might have been
a - because you went up 2mm , not everyone has easily stretchable ears, I know even 1mm has about killed me before, and
b - your ears might not have been ready to get stretched up again. I know I've also done that before. I went from 5 to 6 with about 5 weeks between the 1mm stretches and my ears were all weepy and mank for weeks. This time I must have waited over 2 months before I went up from 6 to 7 and they went up no bother because they were ready to do so. |

or wildcat online (but they may take a week or so to deliver but will be much cheaper)
at that kind of size your ears should have enough give in them to take flat ended tunnels/plugs if they are warm, moist and lubricated and most important of all, ready to stretch. |

| Re: Stretching FAQ Thanks
im not even considering stretching up again at the moment.I got put up to 6mm on saturday so am gonna wait a good couple months. This was definatly the worse stretch so far,so its told me that my body is under pressure so to speak.
i like the idea of getting them done in a studio and i know i can get whomever does it to stretch me just up to 7mm next time, but at 25-27 quid for metal plugs and the actual stretch i dont really want to pay that just to go up a inch.
Il wait a while and then il either see if im ready for 8mm or il look out for 7mm bullets and try it myself.
just out of interest, where i had small tear on each ear i have 2 wee lumps there now,is this a blowout? and will it be okay if i leave it be and keep it clean?
many thanks...again! |

| Re: Stretching FAQ you don't need to pay that just to go up a mm. They also have acrylic plugs which are only like 4 quid each you can use to stretch and a studio will put in for you for free if you buy them in the shop(I even bagged some acrylic ones off Wildcat for 20 p each, ideal if you're going to do it yourself) . I used them all the way upto 6 but stopped as my ears didn't really like them as they were so porous. Most people they'd be fine for though.
If you are through in Glasgow I know Nirvana sell the acrylic ones and will put them in for free, not sure if the places in Edinburgh do ( I can't imagine why they wouldn't really) |

Before when i was stretching my ears, they were always bleeding, but this time around i have just been doing it myself and have had no problem whatsoever.
Good luck! |

| Re: Stretching FAQ I wouldnt use Acrylic to stretch..!
Acrylic is porus, and on fresh stretches could lead to infection.
Acrylic is fine on healed stretches as long as you dont use them as your primary jewellery.
For fresh stretches you sghould preferably use surgical steel, titanium or glass...
I've found that the organic jewellery is best for long term use.... bone horn or wood... they let your ears breathe.
arka has a good organic selection http://www.arka-shop.co.uk/acatalog/...esh_Plugs.html
quick delivery too.
