| Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Want to make a comment about a studio? Had great work done this studio but not so good at another. Then this is the thread to do it.
Feel free to make legitimate comments about a studio, recommend an artist or not, post comments on service, hygene, quality of art work but try to keep it objective and each persons comment is just that, THEIR comment, if you don’t agree state your own comment but lets not make this a back and forth “your wrong, I’m right” affair.
and thus keep other threads a bit tidier. Bodyline – Glasgow
I have been tattooed by one of the artists currently working there and am extrememly happy with the results. The Artist in question is Mat and he is responsible for the dragon on my back. And I would happily recommend him as an artist to anyone
Bizzare Ink – Wishaw
Although I have only had a small tattoo done by the artist there Leon ( Southern Cross, inside of wrist) he will be doing my next tattoo (stitch) but I have seen plenty of his other tattoos and again would happily recommend him as an artist to anyone. I must stress though that I have been tattooed by Leon in another studio so I cant comment on the studio itself but only the artist. Tattoo Heaven – Greenock
Another case of that I have been tattooed by the artist but not in a different studio. Tommy is responsible for 3 of my tattoos (celtic cross on my calf, band on my wrist and a cover up upper back) and again is another artist I would recommend. Not the most talkative of tattooists but really a gem of a guy and as its his own studio I can only assume its very nice inside. Terry’s Tattoos-Glasgow
The calibre of work that comes out of this studio varies and I can only vouch for a couple of the tattooists in there in terms of calibre of work (Stuart and John) and this was 4 years ago. I still talk to a couple of the artists and they are nice guys but cant comment on their work. The only other comment I can make is they tend to be on the expensive side.
Irizumi – Glasgow
A studio that I can only really comment on one of the artist, Steven and although I have never personally been tattooed by him from what I have seen his quality is very high.
Johnnys – Glasgow Barrowlands
Johnny did my first 2 tattoos and I am still very happy with them although back then the studio was a bit off putting, however this was 10 years ago so any comment I make may be completely invalid now but again it might not
Thats my tupence worth. Photos of my tattoos are available in my gallery

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Bodyline- I had all my tattoos done in there. I them. I don't have any fotos as of yet(hint hint rach ) but hopefully you will be impressed with the work. My unicorn which is on my sholder is my own design and came out just as i wanted it. Although Bodline can be a bit pricey i highly reccomend it for service.

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Nice idea you!!! Terrys Tattoo - Glasgow I have had six of my eight tattoos done in this studio, I have had various artists do my tattoos, Stuart the owner done three of them last year and he is a great guy. I am afraid i dont actually know any of the other artists names, But two of them are still there and i can not recommend this studio enough, great work and great staff... Tribe Tattoo - Glasgow Im mentioning this because im getting my new tattoo there on saturday, so far the service has been great and i will post up what my artist is like and the experience once it is done, they do offer a great consultation service but are a little on the expensive side.

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Ere we go again, lol.
I can only vouch for bodyline, all very friendly chaps, but my artist has opened up his new studio in hamilton, and so therefore will be going there!
Derrick has an amazing talent, and will now only get ink by him

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Richards - Aberdeen The tattoo I got was really nice and I was more than pleased with the work, however the service was a bit cold and when it's your first and you're a bit apprehensive, this doesn't help. As I said tho, he did a good job! Tribe 2 - Glasgow Not the cheapest but the service is excellent and I was more than pleased with the results. I got a tattoo on the middle of my back by Kev last Saturday and as well as doing an excellent job, he's a lovely guy.

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Tattoos By Alza (Greenock) http://www.clanlife.co.uk/alza/
The main reason is he is an ‘artist’ and takes pride in his work. He will also draw/mod anything youre looking for. There is an appointment policy (so no hoping and waiting to see if you can be taken), its only he who tattoos which adds a personal touch. Prices are reasonable too. Tribe 4 (basement Flip) by Kenny
Had one done here and it was fine ..nothing complex or detailed - nautical star. done well and cost £45

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Haven't had any myself yet, but Kenny at Tribe 4 did a magnificent job on my ex's last tattoo - the Crow logo across his chest. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for IMO!

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Morag at Tribe 2
does all of my work. she has managed to revitalise some nasty tattoos and make them bearable. ALways nice to see her and have a chat - helps with my own ideas and really loves doing something that stretches her. You can see her more recent work at her blog on the tribe forums. http://www.tribetattoo.co.uk/forum/v...5bca9e0eeca0d6

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Dermart - Paisley - (no idea of the artists name, fat guy)
my tattoo is too deep at points and heavily scarred. design is off and so is quite uneven (should be symetrical) also noticed the 'artist' smoking in the studio when he was tattooing the person after me. |

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Barry, How could you miss out custom inc. Ive had 90% of my tattoos done there. Both arms sleeved by Mark. The good thing about it is that i know my designs are a one off. Unlike the likes of terry's churning out the same old flash. |

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Kev at Tribe 2....He's done four of mine. Lovely guy, even if he works a little slowly.
Kenny at Tribe 4... Three of mine (& counting). He does have a real passion for it.
Service/hygiene etc at Tribe is great too.
I'd also recommend Kaya but, only from reputation so far. |

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Terry's in Glasgow - I've had three out of my four done there and they're smashing. Alain did two of them although I don't think he's there anymore. John is hillarious, a really nice guy. And everytime I go in I always get at least two date propostions!

| Re: Tattoo studios: Peoples comments Paul @ Kaya Tattoos, Glasgow
Done my only tattoo and would reccomend him to anyone. I showed him photos of what I wanted and he took the time to talk to me about different ways it could be done and put a lot of work into the design, and is also a real nice guy, which always helps. The studio as a whole is friendly and welcoming which really put my mind at ease when getting my first tattoo.
hrm- I should be in advertising |
