    Firefox (or Altnation?) WYSIWYG Issue

I'm getting this problem randomly across Altnation on Firefox 3.0 and 3.01 on both Windows XP and Ubuntu 8.04 and in Dark Grey 100% and Minimal skins.

Right before some* pages load, the browser will flash white and it stops me from seeing my cursor in the WYSIWYG editor. I can style type, but I can't add any formatting, links or images.

*It seems to be random, I can't find any patterns.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Aye, figured it was just a FF3 issue. Everything works if you go back to the old editor though.

    White/blue 100%, Mac, FF3.

It's really annoying. Done it to me 4 times trying to reply to this.

I think you can replicate it by clicking in the text area before the page has fully loaded (but this isn't always the case.)

You might want to read this thread about "annoying white flashes" on altnation, could be a similar issue.

i get a different thing (FF3.0, vista) where i can still type but it doesn't appear on the screen, so i have to either hope i typed correctly and edit after the fact if not, or copy and paste and refresh the screen.

    ho hum.

That issue was before Firefox 3 was released and it doesn't happen (to me, anyway) in any other browsers, including Firefox 2.

Think it's got to be that damn right hand side. I'll look at removing it.

If removing the side bar means you lose out on ad revenue then it's not that big an issue.

Lose out on ad revenue is better than losing out on visitors plus just means I'll work on find a better way to do the side bar
