All Region (0) DVD players.
I've come to admit that I am prob a fool for waiting as long as I have for some of my favourite shows to come out here in the UK, so I'm looking to buy a decent, but not too expensive DVD that plays all regions...

Any tips on make would be good. Cheers.

THere is a code you can type into most dvd players that turns them into Region 0....I think...

You in work tomorrow? I'll try and pop round and help you. Best bet is to buy a reasonable inexpensive one and get the unlock code.

Don't buy a VCR/DVD combo thing, since that's what my dad got me to replace my old DVD player when it fucked up a few years back and the shit seems, uhh, un-unlockable. Been saying for AGES "I need to buy a new DVD player so I can watch all regions again", but I'm just too lazy. Body Count and Chappelle's Show DVDs from America have just been sittin' on my shalf gatherin' dust for about three years.

Mine cost me £25 and plays everything. I didn't ever need a code. Was 2 years ago but there must still be similar ones out there.

Indeed, basically most machines are made region free and coded for the country they are shipped to. Just a case of inputting some details via the handset and bobs yer auntie.

Get one that plays divx files too, that way you can watch any avi files that you've downloaded simply by burning a data dvd. You can get them for £30 with free delivery off Amazon.
